Man responsibilities:
  • Pipeline crossing drawings
  • Requires bend design, work in survey and coordinates (UTM, etc.), 2D layout
  • Mainline Block Valve drawings
  • Plan and section, assembly, and ISOs
  • Bill of Materials
  • May include civil/structural details for support, piping for small connections, electrical and I&C for power and sensors
  • Hydrostatic Testing Profiles
  • Profile of hydraulic information
  • Pipeline Alignment Sheets
  • Editing and back-drafting of markups to workspace, materials, profiles, symbols
  • Pipeline typical drawings (based off of a detailed go-by, adjusted for dimensions/line sizes, using templates)
  • Generating templates and working in templates

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Main requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma
  • Technical certificate or formal training in AutoCAD/Civil3D
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with buried linear infrastructure
  • Experience working with survey information and incorporating it into drawings (UTM, coordinate systems, etc.)
  • Ability to generate 2D drawings from 3D models (valves). Ability to generate 3D models will be an asset
  • Generating complex bend designs for pipe to specific criteria (bend radius, angle, arc length, etc.)
  • Understanding of materials (steels specifically) considered an asset
  • Understanding and knowledge of survey information and coordinate systems (UTM)
  • Generating plans and profiles
  • Use of BluBeam review tool
  • Use Autocad to create pipeline (or other linear utility) alignment sheets in AutoCAD, detailed construction drawings, including detailed crossings for land and marine, preliminary and construction plats, property sketches permit drawings, as-builts, and client specific exhibits
  • Required software skills: AutoCAD ,Civil 3D, and working knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Additional Preferred software skills: Microstation, AutoPlant, and CADWorks
  • Experience with PODS Database
  • Ability to translate files from AutoCAD to GIS and GIS to AutoCAD
  • Steward of data integration across the lifecycle of the project.
  • Familiarity with ASME, DOT, or CSA design codes for pressure equipment an asset
  • Knowledge of pressure classes
  • Experience with 2D layouts
  • Experience with piping design/drafting
  • Familiar with civil, structural, electrical and I&C design/drafting
