The Integration Engineer will demonstrate leadership and technical skills through effective definition of architecture for integrations between application pillars (ERPs, PLM, MES and Enterprise Standards tools) to unlock Digital Thread productivity. You will be responsible for the integration develop between cloud to cloud, cloud to on-premise and Predix to on-premise and utilize state of the art integration tools to drive reusable interfaces and accelerate Digital Thread programs.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Integration Engineer, you will:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy reusable data integration processes using tools such as Informatica and Talend among others
  • Collaborate with business users, analyze user requirements, translate & apply business rules to integrations and data transformations
  • Create functional & technical documentation - e.g. data integration architecture flows, source to target mappings, test plans
  • Work with project teams to create release plans, prioritize scope and define / shape deliverables
  • Participate in functional testing programs for each release
  • Define technical solutions based on established architecture guidelines and present proposed designs
  • Provide inputs and ideas to mature SOA CoE governance processes and integration frameworks
  • Collaborate with SOA and integration teams from other all GE businesses and take advantage of informal leadership opportunities
  • Apply a lean mindset to drive accelerated deliverables in support of business data and analytics projects



Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience with current information technologies)
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving integration architectures and implementing interfaces in large, complex environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and implementations

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong working knowledge of at least one data integration tool such as Talend or Informatica
  • Strong working knowledge of structured database technologies
  • Detailed understanding of technology infrastructure, application structures, and database technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative technical solutions
  • Experienced software developer with strong coding, debugging, and design skills
  • Experienced in application and enterprise architecture, with emphasis on integration of disparate systems and design patterns
  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS & HTML (HTML5)
  • Experience with Python, Predix, Cloud Foundry
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced software engineer with exceptionally strong coding, debugging, and design skills
  • Experienced with web servers, SQL databases, integration technologies especially web services, effective application architectures and object oriented development, and software engineering methodologies
  • Strong working knowledge of contemporary security practices
  • Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
  • Project management and team leadership experience, project management certification
  • Experience with the GE Predix platform
  • Multiple years of experience using scripting (Python, Perl, Shell, etc) and working on databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or time series databases
  • Proficient with agile methodologies, scrum master
  • Working experience in cloud environment
  • Possesses strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and a passion to expand technical expertise
  • Strong team player - collaborates well, partners to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
