This position has the ability to inspect, analyze, and perform corrective maintenance actions and repairs. The incumbent has thorough knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within own area, and is familiar with regulations and standards for area. He/she evaluates and resolves problems by applying appropriate solutions from previous practice and similar experiences. This role applies technology and seeks assistance as needed. This position completes multiple, related technical tasks. Under close supervision, assists senior maintenance technicians by performing tasks that are usually routine in nature where very few nonstandard situations occur.
Performs routine installations and maintenance tasks.
Willingly performs other duties as directed by the section's supervisor.
Typical duties may include routine troubleshooting and making simple repairs as directed.
Typically receives detailed instructions on most work.
Expected to perform all duties in accordance with company and safety standards.
Fit For Duty Requirements: 
a) Lifting Abilities: Lift with 2 hands from floor to knuckles: 50 lbs x 2 (with 12 sec rest interval between lifts)
b) Lift with 1 hand from floor to knuckles: 21 lbs x 2 (with 12 sec rest interval between lifts)
c) Lift with 2 hands from floor to waist: 50 lbs x 2 (with 12 sec rest interval between lifts)
d) Lift with 2 hands from floor to shoulders: 30 lbs x 2 (with 12 sec rest interval between lifts)
e) Lift with 2 hands from floor to crown: 30 lbs x 2 (with 12 sec rest interval between lifts)
f) Pushing and Pulling Abilities: Push horizontally with hands placed between waist and mid-chest level to generate a peak force of 15 lbs with two hands x 3, with a 15 second rest period between peak push test,
g) Pull horizontally with hands placed between waist and mid-chest level to generate a peak force of 15 lbs with two hands x 3, with a 15 second rest period between peak pull tests,
h) Carrying Abilities: Carry with 2 hands at self-selected height: 50 lbs for a distance of 15 feet x 2 (total of 30 ft); self-paced and with a 60 second rest period between carry tests,
i) Stair/Ladder Climbing Abilities: Stair Climb: Climb up and down a total of 24 steps, self-paced but continuous.
J) Ladder Climb Test: Climb up and down 5 rungs, self-paced but continuous.
k) Agilities: Stooping and Twisting: From standing, perform alternate toe touches x 5 to each side, self-paced but continuous. Test recipient should reach toward his/her toes on opposite side as far as possible but actual touching of toes not required,
l) Kneeling: From standing, kneel on one knee, return to full standing and then kneel on opposite knee. Repeat kneeling test x 5, each knee, self-paced but continuous,
m) Squatting: From standing, lower body into a functional squat position. Hold the squat position for 30 seconds and then stand. Repeat x 5, self-paced but continuous,

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • Two years in maintenance and repair of rotating equipment in an industrial setting.

  • Possess a valid driver's license

  • Knowledge of methods and materials used in construction, repair and other mechanical equipment related to treatment.



The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
1 to 2 years of experience preferred
