Job Overview:

Construction Electrical Supervisor for Field Staff or Home Office Staff and overall Budget Performance as well as management of the overall site. Perform other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project
  • Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks
  • May lead and direct the work of others
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Basic Qualifications:
  • Prepares schedules, construction methods and plans
  • Perform constructability reviews of plans, specifications and drawings
  • Schedule work to be performed, supervise in-process work activities, and review work accomplished
  • Coordinate development, review and approve construction work packages
  • Coordinate safety planning and promote safety ethics for assigned construction operations
  • Determines manpower requirements
  • Coordinates established area operational plans
  • Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft
  • Implements procedures to ensure construction operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget
  • Coordinate with various discipline Superintendents, General Foreman and Foreman to determine equipment / tooling requirements
  • Prepare craft requisitions and forecasts, job manpower forecasts and expenditure forecast
  • Responsible for the implementation of corporate / project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned discipline operations
  • Ensures coordination of field activities that involve other disciplines
  • Perform personnel evaluations on subordinate personnel
  • Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables
  • Manage work activities at multiple work fronts with the support of Craft General Foreman and Foreman .
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in all areas of construction management and craft supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NEC, AWS, ASME codes, welding procedures, processes and requirements
  • 10 years supervisory experience in power plant or heavy industrial construction
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise / manage supervisors and craft
  • Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Primavera
