What is the Smart Programme? The Smart Programme Delivery team is delivering the technical enablers that will result in npower being able to deploy c5 million smart meters by 2020 as part of the governments Smart Programme rollout. Its a large, complex business change programme that is set to transform that way npower delivers energy services across the UK. We work in stages (also known as releases) in order to provide a smooth implementation process for both our customers and our team.

What are we looking for ? Our tight-knit group is made up of four delivery teams working together to deliver the programme. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst with a focus on Operational Insight on a contract basis for an initial period of 6 months.

What skills and attributes do I need to succeed in this position? Business Analysts who have experience and interest in requirement gathering will find plenty to get excited about with our Smart programme delivery. Were exploring new initiatives and doing things weve never done before as a business, so this is a great opportunity for Analysts to contribute to major change. If youre willing to learn and want to be part of a great team who is committed to shaping the future of the business, this is the role for you.

As a pre-requisite we ideally look for people with previous experience within the utilities industry and ideally with Smart. Having a commercial outlook is important as our work has an impact on many other teams and departments in the business.

Experience within a complex and changing business environment previously, and who have experience of project related problem solving is essential. Having a commercial outlook is important as our work has an impact on many other teams and departments in the business.

You will need to have demonstrable experience of creating technical problem statements and writing solutions for sign off within tight deadlines.

Ideally you will also have experience of:

- Process Design

- Process Definition

- Organisational Design

- Full project lifecycle
