I am recruiting for a HR Manager (100 KM North West of Nuremberg) in Germany on a staff basis with my international client specialising in applications for the refinery, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. Candidates must have at least 6 years experience in a corporate HR role. Must be able to speak and write proficiently in English and German.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of all HR functions including, but not limited to, employment, compensation, labour relations, benefits, organisational development, talent management and employee services. The HR Manager partners with department managers to understand their business needs and provide exceptional service and counselling. The HR Manager maintains policy compliance and will work collaboratively with work council, company and corporate HR initiatives. The role includes regular involvement through shared Corporate and Divisional projects.

  • Develops and leads strategic HR initiatives in support of the company's overall strategic business plan. Develops and reports metrics for key HR performance indicators.
  • Coordinates global HR activities and acts as lead for global team and projects.
  • Implements company-wide HR programs and initiatives.
  • Leads the Compensation Committee, which also includes the President and VP Finance. Assists with payroll processing for immediate location and remote employees in the region.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Promotes positive labour-management relations. Represents management in labour relations, including the negotiation, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements and/or works council requirements if required.
  • Manages employment contracts and agreements within region, if applicable.
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records and/or reporting required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organisation.
  • Develops policies, procedures, and programs and responds to related inquiries. Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state/provincial law
