Field site support technician to support existing and new oilfield chemicals in Oman, particularly enhanced oil recovery.
The role would involve working closely with customer site, GE associates, product management and account manager to support existing accounts on daily activities and meet customer KPI's with oilfield applications. Official title within PDO organization will be GE Site Support Technician.
Role will be rotation-based, with 2 weeks on, and 2 weeks off rotations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support Site Technical Leader
• Interpretation of water samples for analysis on a daily basis from the RO plant and HRSG's,
• Routine monitoring on a daily basis of all chemical injection pumps
• Track the performance of all the online instruments
• collect the process data required for RO Plant Performance Evaluation:
• Temperature, Feed Pressure, DP of 1st Stage, DP of 2nd Stage, Conductivity of Feed Water, Permeate and Brine, Feed, Permeate and Brine Flow rate
• Assist Lab Advisor in Analysis of samples
• Collect parameters from control room for Normalization
• Site visit, check chemicals consumption and updating the Inventory
• Liaise with the Buyer's the Laboratory Supervisor as primary business contact.
• Support the chemical treating program by doing and/or assisting Buyer personnel conducting sampling, analyses, and testing of water process streams and their conditions and quality.
• Advise on reagent inventory requirement required for testing.
• Maintain bulk chemical inventories at injection skids/locations.
• Maintain chemical dosing rates.
• Supervise installation/removal/change of chemical injection sites.
• Prepare and distribute regularly scheduled reporting and other reports as requested.
• Update and maintain the chemical program data base.
• Participate in field Team meetings.
• Comply with and maintain safety programs.


• A thorough knowledge of all aspects of water treatment technology with appropriate knowledge of remedial practices.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Minimum qualification requirements:
• Qualifications: HND Chemical Engineer/ Chemistry or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience in water treatment industry
• Full driving licence
• PTW compliance
