Position requires a BA degree in English and 6 years' experience in applying knowledge on various documentation types (SOPs, tech manuals, etc.) and varied format standards. Candidate also needs experience in the preparation, editing, and publishing of technical and operational documents. Must be competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Projects, and Visio (diagrams, technical drawings, flow charting) and possess excellent oral and written communications skills in a team environment. Candidate must possess excellent organization and record keeping skills.

Must also be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance and CAC card to perform this work.
Candidate will assist in performing the following documentation support for the RDTE Network Branch (all work requires direct interface and collaboration with appropriate functional entities):

• Create high quality policies and other organizational documentation associated with Networks and Network systems

• Edit and modernize existing Policies and other organizational documentation

• Create high quality user guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Perform technical editing of existing user guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Coordinate and facilitate technical collaboration meetings as needed to collect documentation requirements

Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position

• Working at a computer or desk (considerations: sitting, eye strain, hand strain)

• Rack mounted computer equipment in raised floor computer room environment

Description of Work Environment

• An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations) and working in computer labs.

• Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills

• Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers

Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks

• Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation\

• Computer Servers and encryption equipment

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed

Criticality of Attendance

• Normal hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm

• Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines

• Regular attendance is necessary and required

Other Essential Functions

• Must be able to communicate effectively

• Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, supervisors and co-workers

• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others

• Must be able to support and work in a proactive team environment

• Must hold the safety of yourself and those around you as the number one priority in the workplace

• Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance required

• U.S. Citizen and possess U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain CAC card is required.
