As the Manufacturing Specialist - Material Planning & Execution, you will coordinate and expedite the flow of material by partnering with necessary cross-functional teams to ensure on time delivery to support production schedule.
You will plan and schedule material according to the internal manufacturing needs while preventing delays due to any internal and external issues and actively addressing and forecasting constraints.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the material planning/forecasting to ensure the proper inventory levels are maintained
  • Monitor the results of changes to the inventory plan/forecast and make the appropriate adjustments while working closely with sourcing to provide material on time to the demand need date
  • Actively interact with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering to solve material issues in order to prevent delays in the factory schedule
  • Participate in weekly manufacturing production meetings to resolve any material issues identified
  • Actively work to identify and drive continuous improvement in material planning
  • Focus on closing the gap on material issues identified by the manufacturing team; actively work to drive to closure
  • Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements and monitor implementation of corrective action plans
  • Establish and lead weekly meetings with buyers and production control to ensure better communication in support of on time delivery
  • Understand the internal workstation capacity in order to drive the proper planning and prevent any delays to the delivery of material on time


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing role)

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, excel, word and outlook - reference for ERP systems (Oracle, PowerMax, SAP) a plus with experience in learning new applications
  • Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment, understanding of EHS and shop operations - production schedules
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of influencing others and expediting agendas with internal and external customers
