The role is to pro-actively lead one Tendering and Subcontracting department within Construction organization

Essential Responsibilities

1. Tasks & Responsibilities related to Tendering
- Request from Sales and Tendering management the forecast to plan the C&C tendering workflow and workload
- Review and approve tender budgets, considering the strategy and tender specificities
- Insure that the feedback from execution projects is considered adequately for definition of tendering strategy by Sales & Tendering management and for the accuracy of tenders
- Check site cost calculation details and make sure up-to-date inputs are considering for costing.
- Ensure a common approach to manage the site specific DOW with External/Internal consortium partners.
- Develop and ensure the implementation of the Risk & Opportunity management process within the C&C organisation
- Make sure identification and recording of contingencies and risks provision is duly made for site management tendering activities.
- Coordinate issuance of specific comparison tables for each tender.
- Checks offer documentation and clarify observations with the relevant Site tendering core team members
- Insure that the standard documentation is implemented on all tenders, in particular for External/Consortium Agreements
- Advise and support where necessary site management tendering engineers on costing, consortium or offer documentation issues
- Insure that Construction data for endorsement dossier (Tender approval process) are duly prepared
- Supervise & Coordinate within C&C organisation the hand over from sales to execution at D3 or D4.
- Insure comprehensive and binding information, from all C&C tendering engineers on all questions relevant to the tendering activities, is ready and duly stored into tender database.
- Represents the C&C organisation at all tendering management reviews and meetings.
- Organise the build-up and maintenance of the database of information relevant for costing site .
- Represent C&C site organisation to improvement projects relevant to tendering tools, processes and procedures.

2. Tasks & Responsibilities related to Subcontracting
1.1. Strategy
- Secure Execution Strategy (PES) coming from Tendering, and ensure the proper follow up to meet Project milestones (time and budget wise) .
1.2. Prequalification
- Ensure team submit the prequalification questionnaire to subcontractors
-Ensure team review prequalification documentation submitted by subcontractors
- Ensure proper follow and coordination prequalification process till completion, according to defined Construction Process
1.3. Enquiry
- Ensure collection and preparation of the enquiry documentation
- Submit to prequalified subcontractors the request for quotation
1.4. Subcontractors selection and subcontract establishment
- Analyze and compare bidders' offers
- Chair clarification meetings with pre-selected bidders
-Present the result of the negotiations and recommendation to Project management
-Prepare and submit the Purchase Order Requisition (POR)
-Prepare and initialize contract documents with subcontractors
- Coordinate with Procurement department to issue related Purchase Order
1.5. Handover and support Contract management
- Prepare and handover the subcontract to the Site Contracts Manager and the Site team
- Provide support to Project team for erection costs follow up
- Report to Credit Management Team any early warning signal
- Support the Site Contracts Manager on commercial issues, amendments and provide advice on claims when requested up to subcontracts close-out
1.6. Return on Experience
- Collect experience feedback of subcontractors performance from the teams (site and office)
- Contribute to continuous improvement to process or documentation by proposing/implementing corrective actions


- Masters's degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical preferably)
- Ideally completed with Business Administration degree
- Appropriate experience in Power Plant (or capital good industry) engineering and construction
- Experience in tendering, subcontracting contracting
- Knowledge of International contracting practices for Power Plants or Large Industrial Plants
- Business & commercial awareness
- Understanding of risks identification and mitigations

- Site construction experience (desirable)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbal and in written in English and Polish (must have)

3.1 Related to tendering
- Adherence to Tendering process & Tender preparation schedules for costing and documentation issuance within C&C Tendering team.
- Accurate costing on tenders including effective comparison with executed projects (REX).
- Due organisation of C&C Tendering management meetings and release of Tendering weekly reports.
- No claim linked to Tendering coordination activities.
- Due implementation of the Opportunity & Risk management within the C&C organisation.
- Leading of cost optimisations within C&C Tendering activities.
- Results of audits and reviews of C&C Tendering activity (process, EHS and Quality).
- C&C Tendering spends on line with yearly allocated budgets.
3.2 Related to Subcontracting
- Subcontracts placed in time (not delaying site activities) and within the budget
