The Manufacturing Plant Communications Senior Specialist/Manager corresponds with employees and stakeholders of GE Power`s Veresegyhaz plant to keep them informed about company developments. Working closely together with the leadership team he or she implements and executes the communications strategy to increase employee/stakeholder awareness while raising company profile and reputation. The main priority will be internal communications.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure that all employees of GE Power are aware of developments, changes and significant projects within the company
• Develop and distribute executive messages, prepare presentations and internal circulars to share information
• Develop and manage internal communication tools, motivate and educate the employees for its appropriate use
• Committed to deepen the brand awareness of GE Power amongst employees, external stakeholders and media
• Create and manage site level newsletter and company press
• Maintain the Intranet
• Develop print and online materials and branding strategies for employee use (employer branding) for visitors and media
• Support the site leader in ad-hoc and planned communication related matters
• Cooperate with GE Corporate communication staff in ad-hoc matters and in strategic projects
• Create and issue press releases, arrange executive interviews, video/photo shooting and compile press kits


• Bachelor's degree in Communications, HR, Journalism, Economics, English or a related field
• Years of professional experience and track record preferably in Communications/PR or HR in a multinational and or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in developing and managing creative communications programs
• Experienced in working with senior leaders
• Strong written and oral abilities, proofreading skills to ensure all materials are high-quality and accurate
• Project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects, manage deadlines, and react to quickly changing priorities
• Fluent Hungarian and a strong command of English is a must
• Good knowledge of MS Office, solid knowledge of Social Network tools

Desired Characteristics

• Energy industry background, hands-on work experience in supply-chain organization is an advantage
• Experienced in working in a global and matrix business environment
• CSR and leadership management skills
