Vestas Northern Europe (NEU) is the Sales Business Unit for Scandinavia, UK, Poland and the Baltic countries - responsible for sales, project management, installation and service. Our customers' spans from high profiled corporations within the renewable energy sector to small and medium sized private investors.

The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines within the Nordic countries. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Vestas is undergoing a positive development in Norway and together with our customers we need to install more than 300 wind turbines ( 1.000 MW) over the next 4 years. To accommodate this growth we're establishing a new office in Trondheim. We are therefore looking for professionals that can help and support this growth.

  • Technical analysis and preparation of service orders before they are released to service technicians
  • Define the resources needed for each service order, e.g. technicians, materials and tools
  • Find technical documentation and work instructions for our service engineers
  • Technical approval of service orders after completion
  • Daily direct interface with Technicians, Inventory Coordinators, Technology and Customer Service Managers
  • Responsible for compliance to approved SAP processes
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining service order flow measured by performance KPI's

On the professional level you have:
  • Several years of experience working with technical planning, ideally gained in a Technical Services or Logistics related service environment
  • Technical education in Mechanical, High Voltage or Production. Alternatively you could have a background as an experienced Electrician in a leading role
  • You have some years of working experience in a technical environment, comparable with the turbine industry

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • A systematic approach with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, and to handle varying workloads
  • Attention to details
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • Oral and written fluency in English required, understanding of the Nordic languages is a plus
  • Good IT skills, SAP experience will be an advantage

Additional information
Primary workplace is Trondheim, Norway. During the introductory period, there will be some trips for educational purposes to Denmark. Hereafter approx. 30 travel days a year.
