The Value Engineering & Pricing department within Global Sales works closely together with both the regional sales business units and global functions to win deals and support Vestas' "profitable growth" strategy. Value Engineering in Vestas means to create and apply optimized commercial, technical and financial solutions in order to secure a competitive position for Vestas and at the same time maximize value and margins for our customers and for Vestas.

As Senior Analyst , you will join a highly analytical expert core team with global reach responsible for driving continuous efforts to maximize profitability and optimize competitiveness through Value Engineering & Pricing analytics application and innovation.

You will be the lead analyst and interface on market pricing -related matters, in continuous interaction and dialogue with the global analytics team, the regional sales business units and the Vestas headquarter functions reaching across the value chain. The outputs of your analyses will support and inform the direction and decision making of stakeholders across the organization from frontline sales to executives. In addition your responsibilities will cover:
  • Leadership and subject matter expertise in commercial analytics, value engineering and pricing across the organization
  • Actively support analytics and pricing activity of the global team and the regional sales business units, in particular for complex competitive environments such as energy auctions, complex energy tenders and forward sales activities
  • Expert in value -based pricing and competitive analysis in complex market dynamics and conditions, continuously interacting with the regional functions to establish and maintain price positioning overviews
  • Lead interface with cross-functional teams as it relates to sales in a market-based/competitive context
  • Lead and continuously outline improvement areas/ business requirements in the analytics and pricing systems/intelligence/tools landscape, interfacing with other group functions in the implementation
  • Steering role and analytical support for pricing -related strategic inputs, commercial analyses and recommendations on behalf of the global sales organization
  • Support the development, training and anchoring of best practice analytics and pricing techniques in Sales

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, preferably from a large international company
  • Master's degree with focus on quantitative analysis (e.g. Finance, Engineering or similar)
  • Experience in or solid knowledge of financial modelling , valuations , corporate or project finance/financial analysis are a minimum requirement, with preference in the energy industry

  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem solving skills and quantitative aptitude
  • Sharp, clear, efficient and structured with advanced excel skills (VBA not critical), and producing sophisticated and traceable analysis
  • Capable of transforming complex (financial) analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Able to challenge upwards and push an objective view forward
  • Passionate with the will to succeed in a demanding workplace environment
  • Highly persistent and willing to go the extra mile to deliver a quality solution
  • A creative thinker who can apply initiative to change course when required
  • Able to build strong relationships/networks and clearly communicate within a matrix setup of global functions and regional business units
