Position Summary

Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice and we have a need for a strong civil engineering Project Management professional in Bellevue, WA.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Project Manager and/or Design Manager for bridge and structure projects for WSDOT and local agencies.
  • Function as Project Manager and structure team lead for preliminary and final design of bridges and transportation structures and bridge seismic retrofits and rehabilitations.
  • Develop project scopes and budgets and responsible for managing project schedule and costs.
  • Additional duties may include interaction with clients, subconsultants, and assisting in business development activities and writing technical proposals.
  • Develops and mentors less experienced staff
  • Completes within 12 months of hire the Jacobs's Project Management Certification program
Training and Experience:

  • BS in Civil Engineering required (Masters preferred) with 12-20 years of experience in engineering related to transportation structures.
  • WSDOT and/or local agency experience, including Sound Transit, is required and Design-Build experience is plus.
  • Seismic design and retrofit experience required.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills required.
  • PE is required and SE is preferred or ability to obtain SE in a year
  • Experience with SAP 2000 or CSi Bridge or other structural design/analyses programs required.
