Position Summary:

IT - PTS are a functional group within the Global IT Team.

IT - PTS are responsible for strategy, implementation, administration and support of design applications, technology and collaboration used by Operations to support their core business. Our team of technical specialists work on Projects and company initiatives to ensure Jacobs' teams can work efficiently and deliver an exceptional service to our clients. We embody the Global resources / Local support concept by collectively leveraging our expertise to provide the following services:

  • Project implementation/configuration of commercial and internal applications
  • User support & training
  • Promoting global application standards and work processes
  • Educate Operations and Business Development on new technologies
  • Application development and innovation for automating design processes

Responsibilities associated with this post will include:

  • Provision of technical support with the use of Bentley Microstation and associated CAD products
  • Provision of technical support with the integration of Microstation products into ProjectWise
  • Development of Microstation standards for Managed Workspaces


  • Having a broad understanding of Engineering Design principles and technologies
  • Experience in the use and configuration of Bentley and/or Autodesk software
  • Experience in the use of Bentley Systems ProjectWise
  • Having a strong technical understanding of the core CAD technologies, (specifically Bentley)
  • Strong Computer software skills
  • Strong team working capabilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Focus on results and project delivery
  • Flexibility to work in a global environment and across time zones adjusting schedule as needed


  • Understanding of BIM technologies and standards
  • Previous work experience in and Engineering firm
  • A strong interest in design technology.

Location flexible but UK based
