The Role:
1. Manage/Implement Project Quality Control process
Review and update standard Project Inspection and Testing Plans in consultation with PM/Technical Manager prior to starting the project, ensure the ITP is implemented with all supporting documentation collected and submitted in a timely manner in accordance with the ITP.

2. On-site Quality
Ensure compliance with Company's policies, with emphasis on project ITP: carrying out checks and assessments at key hold points and addressing and reporting on any exceptions, carrying out audit process, carrying out post-completion defect reviews and monitoring.

3. Surveying, QA testing and set out
Carry out floor flatness surveying (TR34 DM/FM, ACI etc) and reporting, other QA testing such as abrasion resistance, concrete properties such as slump, and other such required by the ITP. Carry out surveying and reporting for pre-project hand over (i.e. pile caps, sub-base, precast), in-process compliance (i.e. form work height during casting), and set out (i.e. joint location prior to casting)

4. Reporting
Daily & monthly site reporting for the PM and commercial team, for example monitoring and notifying delays, measuring and confirming material quantities, marking up drawings in order to accurately prepare progress claims, liaison for potential variations, and maintain registers of supporting documentation that may be required such as HSE or worker hours' reports.

5. Project Manager Support
Support and assist the Project Manager in delivering projects, assist with ordering or coordinating material deliveries, plant requirements, instructing and directing staff on site, co-ordinating sub-contractors, co-ordinating with client or other tasks as required from time to time.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience within the Construction industry.
• Technical knowledge, preferably in RC Concrete related trades.
• MS Office & Project (or alternative PM software).
• CAD (AutoCad)
• Willing to travel to overseas project, short-term (i.e. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand etc)
• Knowledge of local and international standards and guides such as TR34, ACI, EC2 etc.
• Familiar with typical contract structures such as Lump Sum, M & V, D & B vs. D-T-B, and implications for on-site decision making and risk management.
• Ability to:
- Assess drawings for conflicts, technical risks or buildability issues and propose potential solutions.
- Sketch and use CAD software to modify or produce drawings of details.
- Review, modify and execute quality plan (ITP).
- Read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Surveying and Testing - for tests such as floor flatness and general construction industry set out.
