In this position, you would operate standard HVAC testing equipment and use HVAC tools applicable to the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems. You would use your familiarity with the operations and maintenance of 4-pipe AHUs, VAV and fan coil boxes, pneumatic and DDC controls and their components to monitor asset condition, schedule routine inspections, and perform maintenance and minor repairs.

Our (first shift) HVAC Tech 2 career offers you the opportunity to oversee the preventative maintenance (PM) and more complex repair work that is required to ensure the client's HVAC assets continue to perform to ensure the comfort of the traveling public and airport employees.
In this position, you would operate standard HVAC testing equipment and use HVAC tools applicable to the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems. You would use your familiarity with the operations and maintenance of 4-pipe AHUs, VAV and fan coil boxes, pneumatic and DDC controls and their components to monitor asset condition, schedule routine inspections, and perform maintenance and minor repairs.
Under limited or without supervision, you must be able to correctly trouble-shoot and make HVAC and other mechanical repairs. An understanding of HVAC standards and practices consistent with industry requirements and a good working knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of chilled water and hot water systems are critical. You would need to be familiar with BMS systems such as Metasys, Insight, Tracer Summit, Honeywell and ALC 20/20 and have knowledge of repairs required and maintenance of communication bus (N2 and BacNet). Finally, you would need to be familiar with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in HVAC operations and be able to visually confirm the status of VFD operations.
To complete this work as an HVAC Tech 2, you will be required to use lifts and ladders in the performance of your assignments, which may also be completed in a variety of weather conditions. The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally is required, along with experience using basic technology, such as a computer work station and radio. Basic typing skills are also required. Both positions are available on first shift (6AM to 2PM). The AAT Project operates 3 shifts daily on a 24/7/365 schedule. Other work scheduling requirements may also apply during extreme weather events. Holiday and weekend work may be required to ensure necessary coverage to meet project and client requirements.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Three (3) years' work experience maintaining and operating HVAC and other equipment in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing environment
• Associates degree from 2-year accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience
• EPA 608 Certification
• CFC certification
• Valid driver's license with the ability to be covered under the CH2M liability insurance

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Five years' experience maintaining and operating HVAC and other equipment in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing environment.
