Our Mechanical Quality Control Inspector jobs will provide you with the opportunity to work on the construction of a major North Slope drill site. Each day you will make independent decisions concerning the quality function. You should be a self-motivated, detail oriented professional with five years of related work experience in Quality Control with a desire to grow personally and professionally with each project. 
Our Mechanical Quality Inspectors:
  • Perform field inspections per the Project Specific Quality Plan, the Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures and applicable Inspection Report forms or checklists.
  • Review engineering drawings, suggests changes in them and makes changes within scope of responsibility or upon approval.
  • Will perform inspections and provide excellent knowledge in documentation of such inspections.
  • Will possess current knowledge of welding, pipefitting, structural steel, NDE, quality control process and organizational practices.
  • Have excellent written and oral communications.
  • Interact with the Quality Supervisor.
  • Have excellent computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel.
Additional Information: The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided, however transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. CH2M will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position. 

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • BS degree, certificate from technical program or commensurate and relevant experience.
  • Five (5) years using CWI for structural and piping inspections
  • Experience in: piping systems walk downs, P&ID's, weld mapping, welders qualifications, ISO's, structural drawings, understanding of specs, procedures, codes and standard
  • Proficient in documentation for tracking piping and structural steel welding.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • NACE Level II
  • 6 to 12 years experience preferred.
  • Relevant certifications from organizations such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, IRCA/IQA Registered Lead Assessor preferred.
