My client is a leading refinery operation and is looking to recruit a permanent Head of Plant Reliability and Maintenance to join their successful team.


  • Technical, organizational and disciplinary management of the organizational unit Reliability consisting of four departments with a total of about 60 employees
  • Responsibility for the availability, reliability, performance, security and mechanical integrity of the equipment in the task area
  • Minimize engineering and maintenance costs while taking plant integrity into account
  • Develop, implement and improve the reliability processes as well as create and optimize the maintenance strategies for the technical equipment
  • Further development technology taking into account the requirements in the process plants
  • Ensuring high plant availability and plant reliability
  • Independent, self-responsible planning and execution of projects
  • Development of concepts, strategies and company standards in compliance with the HSE standards


  • Completed technical studies with a focus on mechanical engineering, measurement technology, control engineering, control engineering, automation engineering or comparable course of studies
  • Several years of professional experience in refinery plants or the chemical industry as a plant engineer, reliability engineer or comparable experience background, as well as knowledge in planning and coordination of repair work
  • Proven leadership, teamwork, and motivation are required
  • Knowledge of the essential technical standards and laws (DIN, VDE, BetrSichV)
  • Good English skills would be desirable
