The job involves working with all versions (original design through AP1000) of the Westinghouse Rod Control and Rod Position Indication systems primarily in the area of hardware design and technical interfacing with the software design personnel.  The general responsibilities include:

•Provide technical assistance on hardware issues in various phases of design, development, testing, and site installation of the Rod Control and Rod Position Indication systems
•Development of new design concepts as well as modifications to existing designs
•Preparation of sketches and detailed drawings
•Work on development test beds as necessary to support functional testing.
•Manage Bill of Material and revision control of cabinet assembly drawings
•Interface with manufacturing to ensure cabinets and associated hardware applications are made to drawing specifications
•Interface with functional test teams during hardware/software test plan development and integration testing
•Work with Product and Project Manager to provide input to the Bid and Proposal (B&P) process.
•Collaborate with Plant Functional and System Designers to develop Hardware Design Requirements
•Conduct and document Factory Acceptance Tests
•Generate and peer check the technical documentation required to produce and deliver product
•Provide support to Planners with proper sub-assembly requirements and Bill of Material construction
•Work directly with technicians, Supply Chain, QA and Product Engineers to resolve technical issues related to quality, suppliers and testing

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

Experience: 0-3 years
Education: Bachelors-Electrical Engineering

Experience or a level of skill in one or more of the following areas is desired:

•Preferred to have experience in PLC and/or FPGA components.
•Preferred to have experience in National Instruments data acquisition products or LabView
•Preferred to have experience in nuclear power plant I&C systems
