The Wind Turbine Pitch PCBA Engineer is responsible for PCBA hardware design for the pitch system circuit cards. You will be responsible to design, maintain and upgrade PCBA designs for the pitch system. You will participate in system architecture design, simulation, testing and validation of the PCBAs and the pitch system. You will support SW design and collaborate with the wind turbine controls team to ensure seamless integration of both control systems.

Essential Responsibilities

• Hardware design, validation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the wind turbine pitch PCBAs.
• Create engineering design documentation and lead PCBA design reviews.
• Create engineering documentation that allows manufacturing of PCBAs, including schematics, bills of materials, assembly drawings, etc.
• Support PCB embedded software design.
• Support sourcing and manufacturing activities for PCBAs
• Own the PCBA lifecycle cost and resolution of site issues.
• Participate in and support the design of wind turbine pitch system architecture.
• Ensure product meets all program requirements including cost, performance, and reliability
• Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes controls engineering, power conversion design, mechanical design, PWA design, and Integration / Test

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or above.
• At least 3 years of experience in PCBA HW design and circuit design.
• Availability to travel 15% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with analog/digital circuit design including switching power supply, signal conditioning, MCU, etc.
• Experience with power converter topologies and design
• Experience with motor control design
• Experience with FPGA programming (Verilog)
• Experience with control software, embedded software or other software environments
• C and C++ Language, Assembly Language and Real time Unix based operating system experience
• Lab instrumentation (Meters, Oscilloscopes etc.)
• Wind turbine experience
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Lab testing and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with GE's tools and systems of record.
• Strong communications skills.
