You will be working as a Senior Proposals Manager within the GE Power and Water Commercial Operations department for GE's Wind Energy business. You will be working on a range of deals on a global basis. This position is based out of Bracknell (UK), London or Madrid.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and create competitive technical proposals fully adjusted to the Customer's technical requirements, from the first contact with the customer on a specific project until contract closure
• Lead & coordinate project teams located remotely and coordinate technical proposal development with the Commercial Leader appointed on the project, Sales and/or GGO , Application Engineering, Product Line, and other functions to maximize Customer value and meet business goals
• Present proposal summaries including a Risk and Mitigation Plan for technical & safety aspects of the project to the Risk (R) table and obtain proper management approval for all critical technical items of each transaction
• Provide Customers with technical proposals in due form and time
• Lead the technical part of Customer negotiations and take responsibility for technical terms in coordination with the Commercial Leader and other departments
• Manage advance releases and full commercial releases of ITO projects to the Project Management (OTR) team
• Proactively contribute to the lessons learnt process for ITO in order to simplify GE processes and optimize Customer proposals


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Strong process analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills -Good Communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations

• Business acumen and strategic thinking
• Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-business teams
• Contemporary leadership skills including with virtual project teams
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; integrative team working style

• Entrepreneurial spirit -Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation period
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
• Experience in GE technical and commercial processes, preferably the R process
• Good communication skills and confidence with executive level and Customer presentations

• Engineering background
• Proven years of experience in wind power Industry or in the gas/steam turbine power plan industry.
• Proven years of professional experience
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing
