About the Opportunity

Our Rail clients across Australia are investing heavily in new networks, extensions and upgrades of existing infrastructure and as a result we have been experiencing consistent growth in our Rail Power business. We partner with clients to help address growing demand for additional transmission path and distribution capacity supporting light, passenger and heavy rail networks, understanding challenging regulatory requirements and replacing aging or inefficient infrastructure.

With a strong pipeline of work in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and WA we are looking to add an experienced Senior Power Engineer - Rail Networks to our Rail Power team in Melbourne, we would certainly consider other locations for the right person.

You will be responsible for the overall design, engineering and technical aspects of Rail Power related projects, supporting opportunities for continuing to grow the business and contributing to the ongoing development of our Rail Power capability by developing and mentoring Graduates and junior Engineers.

About You

As well as demonstrated experience in developing sustainable engineering solutions that maximise long-term benefits for clients, you will hold a relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering accredited by Engineers Australia and be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

  • Problem solving ability
  • Concept & detailed design development including specific experience covering earthing, reticulation and electrolysis
  • Extensive experience in the preparation of technical reports, scopes of work, specifications, project definition and design criteria documents
  • Previous experience providing technical support to Project Managers, Lead Engineers, Engineers and Contract Administrators
  • Solid background interfacing with clients in delivering technical solutions
