Construction Manager Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager (Project Leader), this position may have management level employees on the project as direct reports. This position requires experience and tenor in developing and performing public works solicitation procurement procedures. As the Jacobs representative this position is primarily responsible for Phase 2 Design development and management of the design schedule, constructability and contract document specification administration reviews. This position will transition to Phase 2 Construction Phase.

    Responsible for Phase 2 design procurement delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments as assigned. Responsible for Phase 2 design development and reviews from conception through completion (both large and small) in accordance with program objectives as assigned. Responsible for all Phase 2 budget, schedule, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects as assigned. Participates in the review and approval process for Phase 2 consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders and coordinates with Senior Project Manager and Control Manager for proper posting in reporting program as assigned. Attends or chairs assigned weekly Phase 2 progress meetings; issues meeting minutes and reports during design. Resolves complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements. Reviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting in design and construction phases as assigned. Excellent communication skills as this position is client and stakeholder facing Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment
    Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture required 5 years of experience as a Project or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction firm as a Owners Representative required 10 years of experience in a project related technical field required Strong working knowledge of procurement pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification preferred Active Homeland Security HSPD-12 Clearance preferred Active Clearance on Federal Projects within last two years preferred
