Jacobs Cyber Security Group is a cyber security engineering and analysis arm of Jacobs Engineering company. Due to our rapid growth, we have an immediate opening for a Subject Matter Expert supporting our Information Assurance Program.

The primary role of personnel in this position will be to provide high-level Information Assurance expertise to support the client's mission of assessing and maintaining the security posture of the Agency's information systems.

FUNCTIONS:
- Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties:
• Information and Systems Security Architecture
• FISMA
• Security Policy Development
- Provides highly technical and specialized recommendations concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems
- Performs analyses and studies
- Prepares reports and gives presentations
- Manages the fact-finding, analysis, development of hypothesis/conclusions, and production of final reports and delivery of presentations
- Delivers projects in accordance with the Government's requirements
- Assists the Government with the development of requirements, from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., IA Policy Development)

    Bachelor's Degree required plus twelve (12) years of related work experience
    A Master's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering or related field of study may be substituted for six years of experience

    Essential Functions



    Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting at a desk.
    • May require lifting and carrying supplies.
    • Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

    Work Environment:
    • An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations)
    • Needs to be able to work well with and support co-workers and clients
    • Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills

    Equipment and Machines:
    • Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation

    Attendance:
    • Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. If hired for a full-time position, it is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
