Position Summary

We have an immediate opportunity available in our Solana Beach, CA office. As part of our Laboratory Planning Practice, selected individual will provide design documentation support on multiple projects in the Higher Education arena.

  • Must possess extensive knowledge in AutoCAD/Revit and a strong understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the programs and their practical application to floor plans, elevations and details.
  • Work performed under minimal supervision.
  • Interacts with internal personnel on matters of project design.
  • Gathers information, makes studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal.
  • Coordinates design criteria with engineering and planning group in accordance with contractual specifications.

  • Associates degree, related, and/or technical certification in AutoCAD required
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in AutoCAD (Bachelor's degree reduces experience requirement by 1-2 years) required
  • Minimum 3-5 years' REVIT experience required
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Good verbal and written communications skills required
  • Architecture degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in Laboratory related project work preferred
