Position Summary

Associate Level Engineer, responsible for design tasks related to transportation, public works, and land/site civil development civil engineering projects. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will develop appropriate skillsets and grow into a task management role and eventually a project management role. This position is located in our Oakland, CA office.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience required

• BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university required

• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation InRoads software

• EIT required, PE strongly preferred

• With supervision and guidance, plans and conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/ modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

• Independently resolves complex engineering problems.

• Conceptualizes the initial civil design approach for major phases of large transportation, public works, and land/site civil development related projects.

- Works within a team to develop Project initiation documents, and Project approval documents

- Works within a team to develop Project plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, and estimates.

• Coordinates and reviews the work of peers, and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project.

• Performs other duties assigned by a Senior Engineer or Project Manager.

• Excellent technical/report writing skills required
