Jacobs is the lead contractor providing EPCM services for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project. This contract is worth $2.8b of surface and infrastructure works and will see us leading the way for over 6 years to deliver this project successfully and safely. We are now seeking to appoint experienced SmartPlant 3D Designers/Modellers.

Reporting to the Chief Field Engineer this role is responsible for developing system designs that satisfies contract and schedule requirements for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating and managing the 3D Model Review Process, (70% and 90% site model reviews).

• Participate in Model Review readiness meetings with Brisbane or Santiago office.

• Scheduling site reviews in accordance with the Project Engineering Schedule

• Ensuring that the appropriate back-up documents are stored correctly (e.g. P&ID's, line list, plot plan, etc.)

• Take Model Review notes, and maintain the Model Review Action Log.

• Distribute the Model Review notes and Model Review Action Log as soon as possible after the Model Review.

• Interface with design office to ensure Model Review Action Log close-out prior to next Formal Model Review.

• Archive client model review sessions in JPI.

The successful candidate will have at least 15 years experience working previously in a multi-disciplinary project modelling environment. 3D design review coordination experience is essential. A high level of AutoCAD and SmartPlant 3D modelling is key to success in this position.
