You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots with associated control systems, software, arc welding products, track motions and motor packages. In Sweden, we are approximately 600 employees who are located in Västerås and Gothenburg. More than 90 percent of our production is exported and all the major automotive manufacturers are among our customers. The automotive industry and their subcontractors, as well as other industries such as the food industry, are the main users of robot-based automation. Welding, machine service, handling of material, grinding, packaging, and assembling are the most common application areas. The sales of robots and robot systems are managed by local ABB companies as well as by freestanding system integrators and OEM companies and these are the firms we call our business partners.

We are looking for a skilled service-minded and customer focused Warranty Manager. You will lead our warranty team of 8 persons, responsible to assure the warranty process is successfully fulfilled. The position provides a high level of quality customer service during the warranty phases.
Our customers are our local ABB offices and the department offers warranty services and technical information regarding the products or the applications. You will work with our internal global service function with international customers and be provided with the possibility to grow and to take the next step in your career. As your responsibilities contain different warranty/quality issues and customers, both within Sweden and abroad, your days will be varied. Further, you will also be provided with the benefit of travelling to meet your customers.
The position is based in Västerås.

You are a natural leader with drive, development orientation and strong customer focus. You are known to build trust and achieve great results in cooperation with others. Since you will lead a group with responsibility for warranty, beneficial skills are general understanding of technical products and related equipment, manufacturing processes, supply, terms and conditions, economics, statistic analyze, logistics, quality, and basic engineering principles. The role requires great communication skills to interface internally and externally with customers.
You have a good technical understanding and hold a university degree, or equal professional experience. The right candidate have a couple of years of work experience as manager in a service-oriented profession with technical basis. Your English is on an advanced level.
