We are offering a position as a Commissioning/Service Engineer at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports unit in Helsinki. You will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining ABB Marine systems, such as rotating machinery, transformers, frequency converters, switchboards, automation and Azipod propulsion units. Your duties will include supervising installation, startup and testing, as well as acceptance testing of systems in cooperation with classification societies and customers. As a Commissioning/Service Engineer, you will take care of warranty and service calls to operating vessels. This position offers you an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing the ABB marine business and to develop into an expert in our products and systems. Other positions as a technical expert or project manager are potential career prospects.

We require an MSc or BSc in electric power engineering or automation and preferably practical work experience in commissioning ABB products and systems. Experience of shipbuilding and knowledge of ABB products are an advantage. Electrical power systems are in your area of expertise; you have several years of expertise. You are able to work independently and make your own decisions based on your professional expertise. You work well both independently and as a part of a team. You seek solutions actively. Interaction with both customers and the ABB team is an important part of this job, so you have good communication skills. Good English skills are required in this position; other language skills are an advantage. You are familiar with Microsoft Office software and preferably with ABB tools.
