The EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Leader will lead EHS integration efforts for the legacy Metem US sites in GE Power - Gas Power Systems. You will develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with the GE EHS Framework Elements.

Essential Responsibilities

As the EHS Leader, you will:

•Maintain training records and deliver training as required
•Provide input to GSCM (Global Supply Chain Management) leadership on EHS issues
•Assist in modifications of EHS programs and procedures to ensure company compliance
•Support assigned sites with audits, accident investigations and EHS concerns
•Maintain an in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
•Develop and work with sites' operations team focused on EHS program development, implementation and improvement
•Measure progress toward successfully meeting corporate expectations
•Integrate the EHS function with site operations
•Assure all regulatory required reports and submittals are filed timely and accurately


•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS - Fixed Facilities
•Ability and willingness to travel between the two sites

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

•Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering
•Experience with New Jersey and or Pennsylvania regulatory requirements
•Exposure to several EHS areas in a manufacturing environment
•Experience with acquisitions and/or integrations
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
•Strong problem solving skills
•Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
•Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside of GE (regulatory agencies and customers)
•Ability to communicate effectively at customer sites
•Effective project management skills
•Corporate Training program graduate (GE Employees only)
•Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
•Experience with GenSuite (GE Employees only)
