Primary Job Functions:
Job Title: Laborer/Warehouse Technician (O&M Technician)
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Status: Non-exempt

Basic Job Functions:
The Laborer/Warehouse technician is responsible for providing logistical support to the O&M Team and for performing specific functions on a continual/on-demand basis in order to optimize the productivity of the O&M team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Support real time operations and daily site operational issues, with minimal to no supervisory input
  • Responsible for plant vehicles:
    • Fuel, inspect periodically and perform minor maintenance, tire replacement
    • Drive vehicles to vehicle center for periodic servicing
    • Ensure vehicle documentations are kept current
  • Responsible for Preventative/Corrective Maintenance support:
    • Clean PCS shelters and change-out filters
    • Keep plant perimeter clean of trash
    • Help in module replacement and removal of equipment covers for IRs
  • Responsible for Warehouse:
    • Perform 5S audits, cycle counts and maintain program
    • Track parts and equipment, restock inventory
    • Manage module returns
    • Ensure Safety equipment and test equipment stay current on calibrations
  • Help prepare of internal, customer and external agency audits

Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in a related position preferred

Education:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Technical Certification/Training in the electrical or electronic field preferred

Required Skills/Competencies:
  • Ability to take direction, identify problems, coordinate workflow independently and in collaboration with others
  • Ability to work comfortably in potentially remote field conditions and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet customer requirements
  • Proven computer skills in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office Products)
  • Must be motivated to work independently
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License

  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
  • Will lift up to 35 lb., push or pull greater than 35 lb. on an occasional basis
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
