Jacobs Cyber Security Group is a cyber security engineering and analysis arm of Jacobs Engineering company. Due to our rapid growth, we have an immediate opening for a Senior Security Engineer supporting our Information Assurance Program.

The primary role of personnel in this position will be to provide high-level Information Assurance expertise to support the client's mission of assessing and maintaining the security posture of the Agency's information systems.

The goal of this role will be to assist the customer in evaluation and certification of tactical cryptographic products.

Provide security engineering expertise to support the customer in preparing and completing cryptographic certification program tasks and documents to include Telecommunication Security Requirements Document (TSRD), Tailored Information Assurance Security Requirements Document (TIASRD), User Partnership Agreement (UPA), and Data Call Memoranda.

Provide security engineering technical guidance and services to support tactical security products and solutions; architecture analysis; key management; cryptographic products and algorithms; product certification and test and evaluation; and vulnerability, risk and threat assessments.

Evaluate and provide recommendation as to whether cryptographic system meets criteria as spelled out in TIASRD and TSRD.

Provide systems engineering, information assurance and software vulnerability analysis support for the development and certification cryptographic products.

Ensure product development adheres to established policies, security requirements, and contractual documents required to determine overall product security.

Provide security analysis and support to programs seeking certification as required.

Provide security guidance and engineering support to commercial vendors and the customer during product developments as required.

• Experience performing technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established security standards and regulations, and recommending mitigation strategies.

• Experience validating and verifying system security requirements definitions, and analyzing and establishing system security designs.

• Experience designing, developing, implementing and/or integrating security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements.

• Working knowledge of system security design process; engineering life cycle; information domain; cross domain solutions; commercial and government off-the-shelf cryptography; identification; authentication; and authorization; system integration; risk management; intrusion detection; contingency planning; incident handling; configuration control; change management; auditing; certification and accreditation process; and principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control); and security testing.

• Experience with NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) process, the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and prescribed NSA/CSS business processes for security engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline. Both Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certifications are required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior executives, and team members. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. If hired for a full-time position, it is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
