As Process Leader - Cores & Castings of the Casting Development Center, you will lead a cross-functional team that develops and implements cores and investment casting processes. This role will initially focus on development of processes and operations related to the Advanced Blade Cooling initiative.

Essential Responsibilities

The Process Leader - Cores & Castings will work with the Advanced Components General Manager to create the strategic plan process and implementation plan, work across supply chain and engineering teams to operationalize investment castings technology.As the Process Leader - Cores & Castings, you will:
  • Be ready to leverage and scale approaches being worked by GE Global Research, Advanced Manufacturing Works, and GE Aviation, along with strong interaction with Design engineering and externally sourced processes
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary team of process engineers, designers, and materials scientists that will develop game-changing processes and technologies
  • Develop program & project metrics and communicate status as appropriate to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • Drive delivery of technical progress on schedule and on budget
  • Ensure clear program goals and schedules that align with the program; re-align as necessary, manage expectations if priorities shift
  • Communicate internally and externally at business leadership level, the technology development and research activities at the center
  • Be a technical resource for complex, multi-disciplinary issues, and emerging technical ideas
  • Mentor others in the organization
  • Ownership of large complex technology projects & programs with significant impact to the business
  • Deliver projects and programs on schedule, within budget, and ensure cost savings are met


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or related experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Experience leading advanced manufacturing and/or new technology projects/programs
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results
  • Master's Degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
