Department Overview

IT Corporate Services Technology organization provides IT support to PG&E's Shared Services, Finance, and HR organizations. We are part of the Business Technology (IT BT) organization partnering with our business clients to deliver outstanding IT support to achieve PG&E's business objectives. We maintain and manage technologies and delivery projects for the Shared Services, Finance, and HR organizations.

Position Summary

The Associate Functional Analyst IT HR Systems, is responsible for the development of IT solutions for PG&E HR systems and is well versed with all phases of the software development life cycle, systems analysis, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end-user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support.
The Associate Functional Analyst will work with the team of functional, technical experts and consultants responsible for developing/enhancing/supporting SAP modules and other applications in the IT HR Systems area. Provides support for HR-Learning related applications to assure that the modules/applications are efficiently and effectively used to support the business requirements.


• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Functional Analyst with SAP HR-Learning Solution(LSO).
• Participation in ERP projects of low-medium complexity.

• 1+ years of experience in SAP HR-LSO. Should have experience in create/change/display course, Course catalogue, Course follow-up, Manage Participations and Qualification catalogue.
• 1+ years of experience in Configuration/Solutions Evaluation/ Validation and Deployment.
• Strong Analytical and Communication skills.
• Well versed with SAP HR-PA/OM and ESS/MSS.
• System Integration experience.


• Coordinate requirements and deliverables with the client or the Lead Functional Analysts. Propose IT solutions to moderate business problems.
• Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries or escalate as appropriate.
• Configure SAP HR-LSO system to meet business requirements.
• Contribute to the business cases for IT projects and initiatives.
• Writes functional requirements, develops test plans, and works with production issues.
• Perform moderate complexity configuration of ERP HR system.
• Comply with SOX and other standard process requirements.
• Conform to IT methodology Application change and delivery.
