Are you looking for a new adventure in Human Resources? Jacobs Technology's, Systems Lifecycle Group (SLG) is seeking an HR Generalist who is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop in the dynamic and evolving Defense industry environment. As an SLG HR Operations professional, this individual will primarily support our Southeast region employees' whose work either directly or indirectly supports our nation's Warfighters.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Screening applicants for position openings, as well as scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate offers and assisting with on-boarding
  • Establishing outreach relationships within the Southeast region to develop a pool of future candidates
  • Support of the annual performance evaluation process
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding employment matters
  • assisting with benefit inquires

If you meet the following requirements, we want to hear from you.
  • Have a BS degree in HR or Business and 3 year's experience in the field, or an Associates degree and 5 year's experience in the field
  • Have solid knowledge and experience in employment law
  • Are proficient in utilizing Microsoft office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and are able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects while being detail oriented.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements:
  • Sits for long periods of time.
  • Work will involve using a computer approximately 75% of the time, and thus requires sitting for extended periods.
  • Some occasional light lifting and bending may be required when handling hard copy files.

Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work independently and with a group of people.
  • Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles of Jacobs to include; adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers' safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
  • Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor.

Equipment and Machines:

Must be able to effectively use Computers, Fax, Copiers (B/W and Color), Printers, and Telephones

  • With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
  • Must be able to work within the shift hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. May be required to work long and unusual hours based on business needs.

Other Essential Functions:
  • May be required to secure and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must pass drug testing.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
    • Travel requirements -limited/minimal travel may be required .
