The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for performing various functional/analytical tasks as part of a team supporting a fast paced, client-facing government Program Management Office (PMO). The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Timely execution of client deliverables
  • Planning, organizing, analyzing, and communicating program information and other related tasks
  • Coordination of process documentation updates involving multiple stakeholders
  • Update and refine documentation change processes as needed
  • Coordinate documentation updates involving multiple stakeholders
  • Maintain document quality control standards and conduct quality reviews as needed
  • Update and track team tool access needs and status

The selected candidate should demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting a DOD or other Federal government client is required
  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred and a strong plus: Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, Process development, Program Management Support
  • Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently, as well as be a key contributor to the program office staff
  • An understanding of business related functions within a federal government environment, especially the DoD 5000 series
  • The ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with senior leadership, assimilate information from various sources and forum, make viable recommendations on content, and present a timely, high-quality professional product that may take the form of a document, spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation or other media as defined by the client
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint a plus
  • Ability and willingness to learn, and demonstrating a high degree of initiative required; ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Ability/experience extracting and analyzing data via software tools and data repositories and coordinating meetings a strong plus

The role is highly visible with direct interaction with program managers, office staff and other senior government officials at the PMO level.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience. The selected candidate must possess IT-III security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements:

Working at a computer or desk (considerations: sitting, eye, hands) 80%. May involve long periods of sitting or standing depending on current tasking

Work Environment:

All tasks will be completed via telework (100%). Occasional travel to client site may be required.

For office work: An inside environment/cubicle (considerations: closed quarters, close together, lighting). Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and clients. Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills. Independent personal transportation to office is required. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

Equipment and Machines:

Personal computer (70%), laser printer (5%), copy machines (5%), scanner (5%), telephone (5%), fax machine (2%), and other office equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools.


Regular hours will be between Monday and Friday. Core business hours are 9am to 3pm - Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.

Other Essential Functions:

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for position and must not pose a safety hazard to employee or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. This position requires an IT-III security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
