Portfolio Commercial Manager responsible for asset management of our offshore wind farms Do you want to help us optimise the business case of our wind farms in operation, and have you thought about a move to an international market leader in the renewable sector?
Join us and become Portfolio Commercial Manager in our Asset Management team, where you and your colleagues will be responsible for managing our investments and partnerships in our portfolio of offshore wind farms under construction and in operation. You will be accountable for a wide range of commercial activities essential to the successful operation of offshore wind farms, working with stakeholders and counterparties internally and externally in support of the offshore wind project.
Asset Management is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 25 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.
You will be based at our London, Victoria office on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in Northern Europe, mainly within the United Kingdom and Denmark, in relation to your work.
Your key duties will be to
• manage existing asset-related contracts, including asset, commercial, and partnership agreements
• proactively manage partner relations and partner requests together with the asset manager
• maintain effective internal and external interfaces within the team to achieve successful process implementation
• project manage and negotiate commercial matters in a high quality and timely fashion with support from the asset manager, coordinating all internal and external input providers
• support the asset manager in reporting, negotiating and managing service providers.
Moreover, you will prepare and maintain our asset business plan, asset risk registers and budgets and contribute to partner meetings by presentation and negotiation of diverse commercial matters, and preparation of necessary documentation. In addition, you will establish and maintain JV processes ensuring that DONG Energy comply with the partnership governance requirements.
Your qualifications and core competences include that you
  • have a master's degree or equivalent within the fields of business administration, economics, legal or engineering
  • have experience working with commercial agreements, transactions and partnerships preferably within the energy sector, most likely gained from a legal, consulting, utility or investment company
  • are result-oriented, proactive and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • have the ability to demonstrate commercial insight and strong project management skills
  • are an effective communicator, enabling you to establish and maintain internal and external relationships
  • speak and write English fluently.
Moreover, you have impeccable business integrity and HSE awareness. Experience in partnerships or JV management in the energy sector will be seen as an advantage.
