The Advanced Lead Engineer will work in a dynamic Controls design team for GE Power Systems in the execution of programs for Aero packages including New Units software development, Customization and Upgrades as part of the GE Digital strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and apply control technologies GE2GE to gas turbine Aeroderivatives packages applications
• Define and continuously improve methodologies for developing and testing gas turbine software and control systems
• Write, test and develop requirements for turbine application code
• Develop new control technologies into packaged product offerings
• Participate in Factory Acceptance / Software Acceptance Tests with customers
• Support site installations with occasional travel to customer sites 80% Office 20% Travel to customer site.
• Lead projects with ultimate responsibility for quality and schedule metrics
• Support Controls Software Engineering process, Production and Field Engineering.
• Provide engineering technical support cross functional teams to improve or resolve Controls design, performance.
• Lead Software development new units, CM&Us and perform validation test.
• Lead the solution of complex technical problems.
• Integrate Core Software and lead challenges regarding Aero packages power improvements
• Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal customers through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data.
•• Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
• Interface with external organizations and supporting functions, and direct/coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals.
• Support team's technical proficiency and growth.


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronic, electrical, Mechatronic). Plus 8+ years of industrial control experience
• Proven oral and written communication skills
• Ability to independently drive projects to completion
• Willingness to be challenged and learn new technologies and skills
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and meet milestones
• Strong organizational/project execution skills and prior success in working with cross-functional teams
