The GE Renewables Engineering 1-2MW Platform team is responsible for the overall system engineering and program management of projects within the 1-2MW series of wind turbines.

The 1-2MW Platform is seeking a Senior Program Manager with demonstrated technical program management expertise to provide program management in the development and implementation of new product designs, product modifications, and strategic projects.

Essential Responsibilities

As the 1-2MW Platform Senior Program Manager you will:
• Lead new product development and product modification projects from conception through field validation
• Lead program execution, budget, and schedule
• Manage program risks relating to schedule, cost, and technical performance
• Manage product Bill Of Materials (BOM) delivery- new BOM releases, design changes, and added features
• Define marketing and technical features for new products
• Manage certification plan for new products
• Utilize Renewables Engineering processes & procedures for project management, design changes, and documentation
• Be accountable to Wind Product Line Leadership & Product Service organizations
• Provide effective interfacing with Engineering Component Design, Sales, and Sourcing organizations


• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering OR related Technical / Science Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering role
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a design or program/project leadership role

Desired Characteristics

• Wind turbine experience
• Wind turbine engineering experience (system and/or component level)
• Strong program or project management skills, including Primavera experience
• Strong oral & written communication & leadership skills
• Masters degree in Engineering
• System or product-level mindset
• Demonstrated leadership of teams & success in planning & execution of large projects
• Six Sigma certification (GE employees only)
