The Fulfillment Lean Leader will improve the Purchase Order to part delivery process through applying Lean principles to our internal ordering process and external supply base to drive waste out of the process from end-to-end to assist the Fulfillment team in reaching world class cycle time and inventory levels.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

As the Fulfillment Lean Leader, you will:
• Establish strategy and vision through developing Lean road map to re-imagine the business processes for the Fulfillment team
• Execute lean activities and ensure progress through tracking and communicating project status and ensuing timely closure of actions
• Lead continuous improvement through integrating Lean methodology on Key Process Indicators (KPI's) for inventory, on-time delivery, managing cash impact, and Supplier PO management
• Lead and guide internal and external team members on applying Lean principles and methodologies to solve problems
• Lead value stream mapping action workouts with internal GE teams and External Suppliers to identify waste and action plan to eliminate waste
• Work effectively with internal Commercial / Fulfillment Sourcing teams and influence external suppliers to work collectively on waste identification and solution options
• Leverage best practice strategies and drive consistencies across suppliers and internal functions where applicable
• Understand external supplier production processes / constraints and develop and drive measurable improvements
• Remain current on Lean methodologies and continuously enhance Lean training and mentoring of teams
• Guide functional teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste to reach world class cycle times and inventory levels



Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Lean experience
• Prior commercial sourcing experience with contract negotiations
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability and willingness to travel globally 25% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Master's Degree in engineering or related degree
• Prior Experience with value stream mapping and executing kaizen programs
• Prior experience working with external suppliers to achieve common objectives
• Previous success in transactional and manufacturing process waste identification and elimination
• Lean and process mindset with a relentless pursuit of perfection
• Strong leadership & organization skills, especially in a matrix environment
• Extensive lean training or in Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Black Belt or equivalent quality certification
• Customer orientation, teamwork, good business acumen
• Experience leading groups and facilitating solutions with internal and external audiences
• Ability to work across all levels of leadership both internally and externally
• Self-starter, able to work with limited supervision
