The Employee Human Resources Manager is the first point of contact for GE Power & Water managers and employees, to provide advice, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. Critical in executing our site wide initiatives, providing responsive internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This role will report to the Country HR Leader, Vietnam and the Regional HR Leader for Repairs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support and guidance to managers and employees at the site with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management and workplace investigations.
• Be the HR advisor and a sounding board to the Business, providing inputs on business matters while ensuring compliance to company / local labour laws.
• Partner with the broader HR Country/regional team to execute business-specific HR strategies.
• Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated & resolved.
• Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
• Lead key HR processes like Performance development, Talent review & Succession Planning, Salary Planning, Recruitment & Selection and New Employee Orientation. Conduct HR training for the above mentioned key HR processes.
• Conduct investigations and make recommendations to the business on actions.
• Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
• Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to HR Operations Specialists
• Lead other site-wide HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups


• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college Minimum of 8 years' professional work experience with at least 5 in the Human Resources function
• Working (spoken and written) knowledge of Vietnamese language.

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources GE HRLP Graduate (for GE employees only) or graduate of a similar program 2+ years of experience working in an HR specialty area (Global Mobility, Immigration, Staffing, Payroll/Benefits, etc.)
• Working knowledge of spoken and written English.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across cultures and regions
• Detail-oriented (especially with regard to effectively managing and documenting employee relations issues and investigations).
