The Project Leader / Business Analyst will also be a key member of a team supporting a highly regulated business. That has been chartered with developing the strategy, plans, processes, methods, training and implementation of a large scale requirements definition and management program within IBM DOORS. That is enabling the business unit to capture a wide breath of requirements from customers, regulatory bodies, and numerous codes and standards.

Essential Responsibilities

The Project Leader / Business Analyst and SME will support both a new Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) (DNG, RTC, RQM) experience and existing DOORS infrastructure. CLM is a large scale initiative building a central ecosystem (1-stop interface) for designing, validating, applying & managing our Controls solutions throughout the entire lifecycle. The IBM CLM tools suite will facilitate team collaboration by managing requirements with full traceability across the software lifecycle, integrating software development work items (such as tasks, milestones, defects, software change requests, etc.) with source code control management, providing real-time visibility into the team's progress and will simplify the Control Engineer's access to this information.
Drive common processes / and tools to develop, validate and manage Controls and Nuclear solutions (both REQ & NPI) throughout the product lifecycle. Establish a global capability that will enable formal ways of managing product configurations from VoC through validation & engineering changes; ensure transparency for managing work backlog and multiple tools & methods; and manage the tool roadmap to provide continuous improvement and generate productivity.
In addition you will:

  • Co-own Business Transformation with the Controls Business Functional owner & enable organic and inorganic growth via process simplification, engineering productivity & CLM roll-outs
  • Analyze, develop strategies and manage CLM changes resulting from scheduled releases; business process re-engineering
  • Subject matter expert driving common processes for a Controls globally
  • Support the design of global templates for the business processes and manage the CLM integrity by acting as a gatekeeper for the global template.
  • Effectively engage subject matter experts from the business function and translate their needs to solutions with high impact to business and/or its customers.
  • Train & assist the product line Functional leads on processes, CLM transactions and other aspects of the implementation.
  • Support or lead Data Migration / Cut-over activities, as required.
  • Lead the key deployment activities like Blueprint, CRP, UAT, and Cut-over and Go live for the function.
  • Provide direction for end user in terms of training strategy, delivery and the associated change management.
  • Manage functional communications and escalations.
  • Proactive issues management and project risks resolution.
  • Understand and align business processes with overall organizational priorities.
  • Manage cross-business system and process integration.
  • Change Agent to drive CLM adoption across the function and global organization.
  • Define, justify, develop, implement, and drive use of appropriate DOORS database architectures, schemas, configurations, productivity automation utilities, interfaces with interfacing applications or programs, etc.
  • Generate Weekly Audit Reports; work to validate user access rights, nationality, & permissions; Account provisioning with User Creation validation with IDM or Workflow.
  • Conduct DOORS Data Integrity Checks.
  • Update environment, document, or process based upon audit results.
  • Creation & update of published Guidelines & How-To documents for DOORS.
  • Support development and maintenance of the DOORS users guide.
  • Document training files as needed.
  • Support new application release efforts.
  • Support the DOORS extension of usage for new programs.


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of knowledge, skill, and experience with IBM Technologies (DOORS, RPE, DNG or other) on a large scale projects in the power, process, or marine as well as aerospace, military, or medical industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing user support, coaching and training in tool support as a process and a specific tool implementation thereof.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing data flow and tool integration documents and design specifications for a large, complex project(s).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in highly regulated industries involved with product development.

  • Knowledge of DOORS, PLM processes / tools used within the Power business, specifically GEH.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE employees only).
