In this role, the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Project Manager will partner with the regional and functional teams to drive quality improvements in Fleet Reliability Operations through root cause analysis programs. You will be responsible for defining and leading root cause analysis and corrective action implementation that will improve fleet performance and operations.

Essential Responsibilities

As the RCA Project Manager, you will:
• Support and drive RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
• Support evaluation of non-conformances to determine nature of the problem and provides appropriate disposition and rework procedures
• Consult with engineering hardware owners as required ensuring finished product achieves design intention for fit, form and function
• Drive quick, complete root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventative actions
• Interpret engineering drawings and specification and facilitate / lead quick correction of engineering product definition errors identified during manufacturing operations
• Support Sourcing Quality Engineers and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective implementation of RCA, corrective actions and preventative actions
• Provide leadership to a cross-functional team in Field Services, Repairs, Parts, Engineering and the Global Supply Chain (GSC) to execute the establishment and measurement of customer facing metrics
• Lead a regular operating rhythm around customer facing metrics including trend analysis and improvement plans for Field Services, Repairs, Parts, and Engineering Services
• Work with operating leaders and teams to create a road map of continuous improvement projects and track the implementation and the effect of the customer facing metrics
• Communicate teams' progress to Business Leaders
• Educate, coach, and mentor team on Six Sigma philosophy and application


• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience

• Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time
• Ability and willingness to climb wind turbine towers of a minimum of 300 feet

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in Services Engineering
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to become supporters

• Deep understanding of Quality Management Systems, Technical Regulations and Standards

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Certification or equivalent quality certification and/or a proven education or work history in statistical analysis of complex data and measurement systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work with global team members across cultural boundaries
• Experience leading resolution of complex multifaceted problems
• Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
• Gearbox, structural, electrical or other wind turbine experience
