The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the Sourcing operation for PGS operation including: savings, quality and fulfillment. The individual is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities

• • Drive sourcing projects with suppliers for deflation, cash flow improvement and cost containment actions that will result in improved OM. Work with suppliers to provide the highest quality at the lowest cost.
• • Provide coordination and leadership in procurement activities for assigned commodities. Understand buy pattern, identify new vendors, prepare RFQ, review vendor proposals and lead the contract award process. This will also involve data analysis to enable decision-making and prioritization of sourcing projects.
• • Maintain information in various reporting systems to track materials deflation or inflation. Perform detailed cost analysis of both direct and indirect material buy. Ownership of supplier invoice payment & resolution as required.
• • Provide functional process support for all commodities or purchase families. This will involve providing support to Global Commodity leaders and other functions at the business HQ.
• • Implement supplier scorecards to provide performance feedback to suppliers. Analyze and track supplier promise date accuracy. Hold reviews with suppliers and drive actions focused on the supplier ability to meet requirements.
• • Maximize MCTO (material cost take out) on assigned buy via negotiation, e-auctions, redesigns, sub-tier component cost reductions as well as identifying and taking advantage of the lowest cost region.
•• Implement purchase contracts with sound purchasing practices and assure compliant acquisition of material or service that meet applicable company and government regulations.
•• Evaluate current and anticipated requirements, determine potential sources, stimulate competition and perform continual market analysis in monitoring supplier progress.
•• Maintain "timely" control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other required documents to assure orderly administration and retention of records.
•• Coordinate training of suppliers to accomplish business initiatives and develop competitive manufacturing facilities.


• Bachelor's degree in any technical area like Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Sourcing and/or supply chain operations experience
• Experience of working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong Interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Strong quantitative project/program management and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and a demonstrated team player with a strong initiative to win.
• Ability to effectively work across poles, cultures and time zones to provide strong support to global stake holders.
• Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
