The EHS Coordinator APAC is in charge of the Environment, Health and Safety activities for the Wind farms sites (both Installation & Construction Projects as well as Service Operations) of APAC Area.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage process & tools EHS team/resources
• set-up resources needs at site level
• balance work load
• follow-up site team actions
• Assess site teams skills & Develop teams skills and people
• Provide technical support to site team
• Identify Client/Contractor procedures that are used during the Site activities.
• Identify gaps between them and ALSTOM standards, and propose actions to minimize those gaps in coordination to the Zone/Region EHS Manager
• Ensuring that local EHS standards, programs and tools are available after in accordance to EHS Wind policy

Support site team and make them leader in EHS
• Implement EHS process & tools according to Sector and Business EHS instructions
• Safety hazard identification, risk assessment and control in Installation and Commissioning projects
• Safety hazards associated with high risks activities: lifting operations, electrical safety, lockout tagout, machine safety technical standards, work at height, permit to work
• EHS event investigation and analysis (8D methodology, including 5 Whys, where applicable)
• Fire safety & loss prevention
• Environmental requirements/hazards associated with activities appropriate to site job scope: chemical, waste, water, NRJ / CO¬≤, VOC
• Health hazards associated with activities appropriate to site job scope : asbestos, noise, chemical exposure
• Ergonomic basics (standard for posture/frequency/effort) and mastering risk assessment
• EHS management procedures and plans (prevention plans, work permit system)
• Plan, organize and perform audits
• Implement and follow-up EHS audit (SAPI, Road Map , EHS Routines)
• Train site personal and contractors on EHS with EHS process & tools
• Provide technical support to site team
• Provide relevant reporting for managers and EHS team

Prevent EHS risks
- Implement EHS instructions and directives
- Control proper EHS instructions and directives implementation
- Stop any severe risks situations and support site team to set-up restart safe conditions


College or University degree in Health and Safety, Engineering , Chemical Science, Biology or Environment
Experienced in similar activity and knowledge of EHS on Sites and at Power Generation or Construction activities, and experience in engineering industries.
Experienced in transversal projects in an International environment
Audit skills
Knowledge on Asian Local EHS legal Requirements (Japan, South Korea)
Strong oral and written communication skill in Japanese and English
