As a member of our Thermoacoustics team in the Combustor department of GE Gas Power systems in Baden, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Essential Responsibilities

• Development, implementation, validation and application of numerical and experimental methods for combustion dynamics (by using state of the art thermoacoustics tools, signal analysis methods and experimental techniques for optimization and innovation of our combustion systems, including acoustic dampers)
• Using your scientific background, your engineering skills and your creativity to develop innovative solutions to develop clean combustion technologies for the future
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned Project
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures



Qualifications/Requirements

• A PhD qualification in an area related to acoustics, combustion, fluid dynamics or applied Mathematics
• Preferably, you have a solid background in thermoacoustics
• Working independently and systematically is essential for your success
