The Technical Sales Representative - Chemical & Monitoring Solutions role is a good opportunity for you to develop and extend your sales portfolio to include industries such as semi-conductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical and/or gas plants.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you would demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes in his area of responsibilities. You would draw on your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives and have the ability to achieve short-term and some long-term business goals. You will be primarily responsible for leading and managing sales activities to maintain existing business & generate new orders and sales revenue opportunities. You would also proactively participate in planning, forecasting & reporting activities required for assigned area and key customer as required. As part of planning and executing effective business growth and management strategies in the Middle Market for Singapore you will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new market customers and capture all sales opportunities with the objective of maximizing sales in the assigned territory. In addition to this you will also be responsible for (but not limited to):
• Be the focal point for all assigned key customers for all matters concerning GE products and services, inside sales, and total support, ensuring that both customer and GE objectives are met
• Clearly define and communicate problems as perceived by the customer.
• Managing the activities of supporting organizations to ensure that technical and business problems are resolved in the balanced interest of GE and the customer.
• Developing and maintaining a customer preference relationship toward GE.
• Monitoring special value generating plans and programs and coordinate both internally and externally with the customer.
• Screening and analyzing customer order practices looking for trends and unusual order practice.
• Demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and company objectives. In this role he / she will manage processes that meet business needs across the local team, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
• Participating in plant visits to observe technical results and performances, and obtain information and analyzes / interpret results, and reports any corrective actions to the customer
• Outlining, presenting and selling the value of GEWPT products and services that can benefit customer needs
• Conducting required training of customer operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameters under which the GEWPT treatment program and monitoring equipment operates
• Building upon internal relationships and develop strong relationships with customers, specifically from mid to high management level with key customers.
• Ensuring profitability of accounts within assigned territory through proper pricing and contract management as well as service time, working with the service team
• Partnering with peers and management to enhance selling techniques and approaches
• Coordinating relationships and interface with Commercial Operations, Technical/ Marketing, Product management and other functions
• Leading the preparation, submission, tracking and closing of quotations and proposals.
• Developing and implementing strategies for key accounts, tenders and strategic deals
• Participating in the RFQ process (Request For Quote) through establishing a systematic business scouting program, perform lead-role in the process of preparation, submission, tracking of quotations and proposals and closing of deals, especially


To be successful for this role, you would possess
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in chemical engineering or applied sciences
• At least 1-2 years of sales or operations experience in the water , Microeletronics, pharmaceutical and utilities water treatment industry
• Prior experienced in Sales Management /Business Development and Operations
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
