About the opportunity

We are currently working on brownfield LNG opportunities and a position has come available for a Piping Engineer to join our Brisbane team to manage multiple small to medium sized projects. Depending on the role you will be expected to perform either a discipline lead or support role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Field data gathering
  • Arrangement and layout of equipment and the design of the interconnecting piping systems
  • Perform static and dynamic stress analysis and reports on critical
  • Preparation of support standards and data sheets for spring hangers and engineered supports
  • Preparation of structural loading information and review of isometrics for pipe support requirements
  • Generate/review piping specifications and obtain vendor quotation - provide input for vendor equipment coordination for piping
  • Provide material take-off and costs to project estimators
  • Develop construction specifications and scope of work documentation
  • Perform field verification activities since many projects are a retrofit nature
  • Provide final checking, approval and stamping of all design deliverables associated with piping
  • Support construction, commissioning and start-up activities

About you

Previous experience within the oil & gas facilities (onshore and/or offshore) industry. You will have demonstrated experience with mechanical piping engineering concepts and detailed design including design calculations, data sheets and modelling. Essential to the role will be your EPCM brownfields and site background working with Australian facilities as well as:

  • Ability and flexibility to lead engineers and manage small scopes of work as well as perform design engineering deliverables dependent on project scope
  • Adaptable to accommodate flexible working arrangement whilst portfolio of projects develop and mature
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and fundamentals especially relating to engineering deliverables management
