Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Discipline Director, Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager this role will work closely with interior designer and technical leadership to program, plan, design, and administer the construction of building projects for clients. Candidate will apply knowledge of interior architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, building codes, as well as building materials for the advancement of project for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources.

  • Prepares or assists in preparing project budget and design schedule
  • Plans and programs layout of project(s) from test fit stage to actual project implementation; coordinates and integrates all other discipline elements into unified design for client review and approval
  • Interacts with client, client representatives and constructors regarding the technical aspects of project design.
  • Conducts periodic on-site observation of design work during construction.
  • Monitors the progress of design work and facilitates adjustments in the work flow to maintain performance.
  • Leads and/or assists in preparation of client project presentations studies, and reports
  • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans
  • Directs activities of multi-discipline design teams engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for all phases of a project
  • Periodic travel to construction sites should be anticipated

  • 12-15 years' in commercial/corporate interiors is required
  • BA/BS or Bachelors in Architecture or Interior Architecture is required
  • Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs, and Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Familiarity with building code requirements is required
  • Strong organizational, communications (verbal,written as well as hand sketching) skills, and leadership abilities are required
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with internal architectural and engineering team members is required
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Understanding of modular furniture and panel systems is desired
  • Architecture registration in the U.S. and other countries with applicable requirements is desired.
  • Participation in professional organizations is preferred
